Indonesian women, particularly on the island of Java, are exceptionally beautiful. They tend towards the very feminine side, with lovely skin, are not too tall, and have knock-out smiles. There’s plenty of plus on that side of things.
If wer’e to be honest we have to recognise that many men are interested in a woman who will take care of him, do the housework without complaint, and take care of other matters similarly without much bother. Your average Indonesian girl often fits the bill in this respect, certainly more than your average western woman, the less said about them the better.
On the other hand going out with Indonesian women in a romantic way can have many mysterious pitfalls.
Some women here are clearly only interested in money. Some men are unbothered by this. Others of the female variety, can, once we get to know them very well, come across as practically insane, hysterically emotional, scheming, over-possessive, inclined to, usually fake, attempts at self-harm in order to get their way. As I said, not for the faint-hearted.

Some still keep their religious identity and have no problem at all while adapting to their new environment. And of course some choose to just mingle among their own race/community.
Moving to another country is not easy. Lots of cultural shocks happened. Moslem or not, they face the same thing. I think in this case, love sometimes is not enough. They need to be tough and not giving up easily. But maybe for a moslem, there is another challenge: they are expected to show sympathy to another moslems, no matter what. Even sometimes they do irrational things. And when there’s clash between their current government, e.g. Belanda vs moslem countries, they feel that they have to pick a side. That’s a pretty heavy dillema.
I had a classmate which is a Pakistani girl. Her appearance is just like any American students here; no hijab, modern, tech savvy, open. But everytime we had a class discussion on religious topic or terrorism, she started to feel offended and insecure. She felt that all of her classmates stared at her; which was true because she was pretty, not because she was a moslem.

I don’t know if you really understand your stuff or not, but you did mix up some terms in your post. And kicking non-techies around with these terms in a debate on cultural differences is both useless and below the belt if you ask me.
Anyway, to stick with lcvs’s idea (which is way more appropriate for this thread): great research project, I’d love to be in on that. Since people tend to lie a lot, I do think we need a psychologist on the team (anyone?). Getting the correct, unbiased numbers out will be hard …

Romson, 9 out of 10 is a pretty high numbers and quite shocking. Sorry if I sound naive, but as far as I know, girls who dating foreigners are at least pretty independent and know how to play the card. Of course I heard about abuse, etc, etc… but there are lot of cases too where the men become the prey and suffered. So when you said 9 out of 10 girls being abused… wow. I am speechless.

That’s the whole point. These girls prey on these men, 9 out of 10 times they don’t really love the guy. It’s all for the greencard and hope of a “better life” and the guy threats her like shit because 9 out of 10 times she continues her slutty behaviour in the west.
But these guys are getting smarter now and using the girls like shit turning the tables on them. They see now that all these chicks want is a greencard and the moment the have it they leave.
Of course there are some good marriages among them, but very rare.
And to be honest this shit don’t only happen with easy indo ass, but with most of the women who think they will have a better life in the west by marry a white dude. many examples here of women who left their white guy after they got the greencard.
I have red here that most indo women think that white men are stupid and no good for anything but getting them a greencard. This is not true.
9 out of 10 times you will get your ass used in the west and in some cases by his brother, father and all of his friends too.

__________________Still we need to know where our position is and anticipate the worst. Just like in America, people love each other and marry, but they still think about pre-nup and agreement and being independent economically to protect themselves, just in case love changes to the wrong direction. Life can be pretty messed up at some point, and sometimes merely believe that love will answers all is so silly if not stupid. Just like you said, what will allah say when this happen? maybe He will said: suck it up, you yourself that choose the wrong way LOL… no, I’m just kidding about the allah stuff. But that’s what I meant by playing card.

@Romson, it’s understandable that we Indonesian/Asian girls are perceived as cheap/sell out in your country, especially when we get our residentship/citizenship by marriage with bules.
But there are still (very very very small percentage) of independent educated Asian women who can get good career and lifestyle in western countries without spreading their legs to bules…
