Indonesian women, particularly on the island of Java, are exceptionally beautiful. They tend towards the very feminine side, with lovely skin, are not too tall, and have knock-out smiles. There’s plenty of plus on that side of things.
If wer’e to be honest we have to recognise that many men are interested in a woman who will take care of him, do the housework without complaint, and take care of other matters similarly without much bother. Your average Indonesian girl often fits the bill in this respect, certainly more than your average western woman, the less said about them the better.
On the other hand going out with Indonesian women in a romantic way can have many mysterious pitfalls.
Some women here are clearly only interested in money. Some men are unbothered by this. Others of the female variety, can, once we get to know them very well, come across as practically insane, hysterically emotional, scheming, over-possessive, inclined to, usually fake, attempts at self-harm in order to get their way. As I said, not for the faint-hearted.

Well don’t get your hopes up about marriage, many Indonesian women run away with other guys, get married while still married to another guy. Marriage means nothing in this country, isn’t worth the paper you wipe your arse on.
Problem with Indonesian women, once they get their first taste of sex, something in their mind switches on. Even if your love life and sex life is good, they can’t control the itch and sleep with any guy. That’s the norm in this country and half the children in an Indonesian family have different fathers, from both parties playing around, hence the Indonesian population explains this problem….

My case is the contrary, meet a guy from USA and having long distance relationship for many years (4-5 years) and he cheat. He made his friend pregnant on a reunion party. Just like that.. and ask me what to do after that. I only think, dream, wish, pray only for him. Waiting patiently until both of us graduate from university and get married, as he already ask/propose me. Not that i am ugly, can’t find other guy, for me one guy at a time. No flirt with other guy, nothing. Just that guy for many years.
I didn’t end up generalize all Caucasian as cheater and liar, and all bad names i can’t say here.

It is not easy for us to start the relationship as i don’t like bule, and his arrogant attitude and his annoying complains about Indonesia. But love find its on way i guess after he return to state we mail each other, chat, phone, etc.
He want to be serious and prove it that time. I wont cheat someone who’s very dedicated to a relationship, doing two different job for saving for flight tickets, university class and still manage his time to call me, or at least mail me every day.Its true what Kodew said, took lots of trust and commitment (especially he know what people said about indonesia girl too, so…. it is harder !!).

I’m Indonesian woman and i live in Australia now with my patrner for almost 5 months. We had a plan to marry next year. So far our relationship is good, he is caring, romantic and warm person. So i think not all bule is bad or affraid with commitment. In the near future i will work here and share all the bills with him. Built happy family ,have a baby, etc. And not all Indonesian woman is bad or just want bule for their money. For someone who had bad experience with bule or Indonesian woman, you just havent found the right one. Many types of Indonesian woman, depend how you meet them. If you just meet in the club or bar please dont hope too much for serious one. Just believe in yourself if you’re good enough then you will get someone who good as you. Sometimes people asking too much to get a good one without see themself.
The keys to get good relationship are “teamwork” and “compromise”. (Hope it help)

Hmmm….free sex…what do u mean by free sex? seks bebas or seks sebelum nikah, or kumpul kebo? in my opinion, free sex is seks bebas (one can have sex with anyone, anytime without commitment, pre-marital sex is seks sebelum menikah (so it can be between bf/gf or fiance), extra-marital sex is seks dengan bukan pasangan legalnya (untuk yang sudah menikah), kumpul kebo refers to living together. I have friends who dont like to sleep around (seks bebas), but they have sex with their bf/gf or fiances, and they definetely not a ‘2nd quality’ girl/people and they are hapilly married now.
And also, what is ur definition for ‘2nd quality’ girls? Hope ur not judging a person’s ‘quality’ based on their sex life right?;)You can get the good quality indonesia girl by marry her.

I can’t agree more with Kodew about the ‘free sex’ things. Here in Indonesia people judge a person as ‘bad’ because she/he does pre-marital sex. I don’t see the connection between the two. You can be a good/bad person and do/don’t do pre-marital sex.
I do pre-marital sex because I think that’s a wise thing to do :D. You don’t want to get married and get ‘kucing dalam karung’ if I may put it… like most of my friends did. And you know what… they had to put up with the disappointment for the rest of their lives (yes… tho I’m not a ‘good girl’ according to Indonesian standard my friends mostly are what mas joko described as good girls). -

I’ve been to several Indonesian functions in Australia and socialised in Jakarta with many mixed couples and can categorically state the majority are married to pribumis (with the highest percentage javanese). I usually comment to my wife that we are the only Chinese / bule couple in the room. It is chinese who generally marry within their culture. This could be an economic issue as the chinese Indonesians are usually not struggling and are predominantly upper / middle class.

We, many people I know and I, ‘pribumi’ people, have our own ‘opinion’ about chinese indonesians and how they ussualy think about and treat us, and we also know why and how they could be ‘economically’ ehmm…’upper/middle’..okay? But I wont let you know here as it could be SARA. But onething is for sure, the experiences with them is REAL 🙂
We have indian indonesians, arab indonesians, but when we talk about chinese indonesians in relation with indonesians in general, it could be very very different…;)p.s. I know…I know…it’s NOT all of them…but…:)
