Indonesian women, particularly on the island of Java, are exceptionally beautiful. They tend towards the very feminine side, with lovely skin, are not too tall, and have knock-out smiles. There’s plenty of plus on that side of things.
If wer’e to be honest we have to recognise that many men are interested in a woman who will take care of him, do the housework without complaint, and take care of other matters similarly without much bother. Your average Indonesian girl often fits the bill in this respect, certainly more than your average western woman, the less said about them the better.
On the other hand going out with Indonesian women in a romantic way can have many mysterious pitfalls.
Some women here are clearly only interested in money. Some men are unbothered by this. Others of the female variety, can, once we get to know them very well, come across as practically insane, hysterically emotional, scheming, over-possessive, inclined to, usually fake, attempts at self-harm in order to get their way. As I said, not for the faint-hearted.

Invariably described as kampungan and bules are supposed to love that look, thus driving ever-so-sophisticated Jakarta ladies, who’ve been plastering skin whitener on their faces since early childhood, crazy.

Oh, and Count Nomis, here’s what one 17th century European visitor to Java had to say on the subject of dating Indonesian girls:
The women are proportionally more comely than the men, and are very fond of white men.
However, you had to be very careful:

I wasn’t talking especially about her skin BB, but the face. I have almost the same skin as her, brown/beige, but not so much dark like I’ve been burned by the sun while I was playing kites. It’s typical. You can see for yourself. They are different. My own experience really. And yes, she’s pretty cute that ‘prettyness’ is relative. Personal problem, nevermind! š

What I admire in Galloway is the imperturbability with which he makes his points, even in the potentially most hostile of environments, for instance in his “interrogation” by the American Senate or in that debate with Christopher Hitchens that took place in New York, and in which he said, among other things, that the swamp of hatred, out of which came 9/11, had been created by American policies. Though many of his points deserve a raised voice he doesn’t have to bother because his voice is even on normal tuning loud enough. And yet it is not unpleasant to listen to. Hitler, by contrast, was a screecher whose oratorical success was largely due, I think, to the environment that was created for it. Much has been made of his “hypnotical eyes”. That seems to me so much bs because in those mass rallies most people in his audience were not even close enough to see his nose let alone his eyes. About Sukarno’s oratorical gifts I reserve judgment. I haven’t seen and heard enough of it.

Here comes my story which will sound like one of the typical stupid bule stories:
Im a 21 year old guy dating a 26 year old javanese girl with a 3year old son.
Around 8months ago I came to Indonesia for my studies and I was hoping for just having a good time and also do some studying. In the first week I had a good time with several other bule girls, go to the club, party enz enz.
After one week having fun with the white girls my friend said to me: Let’s try to get an Indonesian girl for tonight. So we started talking with many girls in the club get some kisses and scored some phonenumbers. But none of them was really what I was looking for. But at the end of the night I started dancing with a 26year old girl who was out with her friends (docters, lawyers, all people who have studied). Herself she was graduated as a music teacher and as extra job was she jazz singer in some expensive hotels. It was almost the end of the night and I tried to kiss her inside the club but she refused because we were inside. Later when we walked out together I was allowed to give her a kiss and then she followed her friends to go home.
The next day I send her a sms because I got interested with her and we make some plans to see eachother again. At that time I was only looking for getting laid with her.
At the first date where she showed up with two of her friends. One of the things she told me was that she already had got a child. At that point I was schocked and tought who tells this on her first date but I didnt care and said the same thing to her.
In the upcomming week we see eachother many more times but I was not allowed yet to sleep with her. And I didnt try also because she was winning my respect and she was really much fun to hang out with and her friends were cool also. When we hang out together the paying for things was 65% me and 35% her. But one of the first things I told her was that I was a poor guy who didnt graduate yet, so if she was looking for money she was now with the wrong guy. But she told me that money didnt interest her.
After almost 1,5 week spending almost 24/7 together I was allowed to sleep with her and after that things really changed. So got really angry with me when i was talking to other bule/indonesian girls, she got crazy when i wanted to hang out with my bule friends, and she started to text me 500times a day. And day by day she took more of her stuff into my appartmentroom and one week later she was almost living together with me. But at that time I didnt care because i really liked spending time with her. All her time she wanted to spent with me she almost didnt see her friends and family anymore because she wanted to be with me all the time.After one month dealing with this I was thinking to myself wtf am i doing? This is not who you are and this was the last thing you wanted to happen when you go to Indonesia for study.
So I was really done with her and her jealousy antics and I wanted to drive her home and say goodbye forever when I got into an accident with my scooter. She had to go the hospital for 3 days and the man i hit passed away two weeks later. During that time she was the best help I could ever get. She helped me with evrything: the police, the family of the victim, everything because my indonesian wasnt that good yet. She even delayed her new good job on an other island 2months because she wanted to help me and couldnt leave me behind with all the problems.
But then she had to go to her new job and moved to an other island. At that time I transferred her money for the first and last time: it was 250 000. I got send to prison 2weeks later.
My atm card and other stuff was moved to her friends house and they were the ones who will take care of me and my money when Im in prison. Because she was not able to do it while she was not in Java. When I was one week in prison my parents bought my girlfriend a ticket so she was able to visit me and give me some support. This was for me the best thing ever, to have some good support and she said to me she will wait for me untill im out of prison and she cried and cried.
And her friends did really take good care of me every week they bring me food and money and when I checked my account when i was back home not a cent was missing.
My girlfriend was also the best support I could have everyday i called her and she gave me the strenght to go on. So also send nice presents to her friends to give to me like new shoes, wallet, cards etc etc.
Luckyly for me I only had to stay in prison for 3months but I got deported back home so I wasnt able to see my girlfriend again.
Now Im back home and we skype everyday, she really wants to spent all of her time with me online and talk to me. She already talks about getting married having babies with me. I made the plan to come back to her in juli and have a nice trip around Indonesia.Her some more background information about her:

3year old son she got from a guy who kind of raped her. The child will always be with her mother. Also if we in the future will be married.
She has for indonesian standards a quite good income.
Not from a good family, parents divorced bla bla
Friends all have good jobs.
She dated many Indonesian guys before but dont like it anymore, so she started dating bule. Before me she kind of had one relationship with bule but he was a total asshole she told me.Soo please guys help me, Im a the stupid bule who fall in love with the wrong girl and should i run?

I’m always suspicious of girls who want to “make you wait” for sex. It just smacks of the woman viewing sex as a bargaining chip to get what she wants, rather than something mutually pleasurable….
… and that has ramifications when you’re locked in a marriage, as you can imagine. Especially when you want some nookie. Prepare to hear “I have a headache” fairly often.

She sounds like a ‘galau’ type of indonesian girl. I’m a type of person that don’t see those who serve in church are any better than those who don’t. From your story I can see that she already have a baby when she was 23 years old. I can imagine how hard life has been for her. But I’m still on the “enjoy the moments” advice.

Her son has been living with her mum on another island since it was born, she had to go back to school to finish her studies.

If you have problems with your mom, don’t go have sex with a guy you date – but you don’t like/love that much – (attention girls). It’s not the way to solve the problems. What is “dating a guy whom you don’t like that much” anyway? Lack of independency. Lack of sex education. Although I found it quite common between my girlfriends. But anyway… What are you going to do now nitro?

If you have problems with your mom, donāt go have sex with a guy you date ā but you donāt like/love that much ā (attention girls). Itās not the way to solve the problems. What is ādating a guy whom you donāt like that muchā anyway?
I agree Bonni. Her story sounds like a lot of BS.
She probably did like the guy, and by the sounds of it… she probably wanted to be with that guy, otherwise she wouldn’t have done it. It takes two to tango, and I think it’s very stupid for the girl to try dodging responsibility for what she was a part of.
Additionally, I don’t think any woman is that stupid as to continue leading a guy on whom she doesn’t like that much.The fact that the girl goes to church a lot proves nothing. It’s not entirely uncommon for women who have had a string of casual encounters in the past to try and cover that up in their later years by becoming more devout and religious. Especially if they want to get married. I’ve seen it from a few Indonesian gals who suddenly find that no-one wants to marry them and start wearing jilbab every day — when before they look gorgeous, sexy and fashionable.
After all, the prevailing “wisdom” is that a girl who actually likes you for you and not for your money, and doesn’t make you jump through hoops to have sex with you is somehow a “bad” girl. (seriously… go figure THAT one out!)
So anyway… in order to attract a marriage partner, they figure that they’ll play the part of a girl who is “hard to get”, but unfortunately their old habits tend to die hard. In fact they make things worse for themselves.
It’s not that these girls slept around in the past that prevents them getting married…. ….that’s not the problem…
The REAL problem is that they LIE so much than NO man would ever trust them in a serious relationship!
