Agnes Monica annoys Malaysians for unusual reasons, with her new hit song Allah Peduli.
The province of Selangor in Malaysia has banned pop singer Agnes Monica’s latest tune “Allah Peduli” (God Cares) because of its use of the term “Allah” to refer to the Christian God, possibly including Jesus Christ/Jesus of Nazareth/the prophet Isa.
Mohamad Adzib Mohd Isa, the head of the Religious Court in Selangor, says the song must not be played or sung anywhere in the province. Non-Muslims who say “Allah” to refer to their god(s) are subject to a 1,000 ringgit (about $300) penalty, he says. antara
Our Agnes
There has been a long-running dispute in Malaysia as to whether non-Muslims, particularly Christians, are permitted to say “Allah” for “God”. The dispute began when authorities objected to the Catholic daily the Herald using the word, with this case currently going through the courts.
Meanwhile, the offensive song, Allah Peduli by Agnes Monica:
You claimed that the Quran is anti-semitic? One more ignorant statement of yours! Why don’t you open the Holy Bible right now and read the Old Testaments. Then, you’d realize how anti-semites the Bible is.
..and where do you suppose the Quran is heavily ripped off from?
What is the purpose of life?
To worship God and do righteous things according to His will.
How did this universe originate?
The universe was created from the state of nothingness. A zero cubic meter volume which could not be comprehended by our finite mind. Do you think the universe created itself in the first place? I don’t think so. I think this universe has The Creator which is not bounded by space-time theorem which bounds us.
Who is The Creator?
Aristotle calls this ‘Force’ as ‘The Prime Mover’. Mankind have been struggling through ages of history to define the meaning of life. Only religions are able to give us the answer. So far, science has not been able to answer this question. Well, Richard Dawkins says that maybe someday science will but I don’t think it will because it is not within the realm of scientific discovery to answer this question. All religions believe in what we call The Creator but in Islam we offer the right of worship solely to this Creator. Initially there was only Islam in all parts of the world. It was only when the people started to carved things out of the woods and stones that the began to made new religions. All prophets were Muslim (people who submit to the Creator) and their religion was Islam (submission to The Creator)
The Creator is infinite and is not define by time or space like we are. Thus, He was not created nor died. There is none like unto Him.
I answered all your questions. Thank you.
Peace
Thanks MEM..
Way too much dogma there for a rational discussion, if it leaves you in a happy place and leaves other to choose theirs.. great..bit concerned about your history of Islam tho, you seem to have leap frogged a few thousand years into the past. Think early man was carving things long before Islam (or for that matter Christianty) and cable tv popped up.
Thanks for fixing the post Patung..I confess… I am a techno leper
ouch!!…point taken…sheesh next thing you know you be wanting me to think before I TYPE
I answered all your questions. Thank you.
Peace
Well I’m glad we got that cleared up.
Now we have 2 Malay Muhammadeans coming out of the woodwork.
You posted on this forum that we need to understand Arabic to know quran. You were taking for granted that everyone was agreeing and in tune with you. I responded that you lack the intelligence of a Javanese. Javanese are the caretaker of the Great Malay Race. Without us, the Melayus would have lost track of their tradition by now. Javanese respect every gods. Why should Allah be the favourite child here? You explain to us. I am always bewildered by the way Malays think.
This is what I believe and it is solely on the matter of my faith and is in accordance to the teaching of Islam. I believe that people in deep jungle of Amazon or even the tribes of Indian in North America thousands of years before had been sent prophets to them by God. This is because God says in the Quran that He sent messengers to all nations throughout time. This really struck my mind really hard because it makes sense so much.
God sent these prophets to those nations to give them guidance on how to live their life at a particular time and place. Interesting enough, over a period of time, people started making images of God and started idolatry and thus making it swaying from the original truth. I believe all religions especially the major religions started with a prophet sent by God with a message of worshiping the Creator of the universe and they have been given sets of rules to follow. They were Muslims of their time.
The Jews during Pharaoh times were also Muslims (people who submit to the will of the Creator) of their time. This is what most people don’t understand about Islam. It is not a new religion but it was there since the first human being set foot on planet earth. It is within our nature to believe in the Creator and when we are in the edge of doom, then believe me when all hopes are gone, we will start calling the Creator to help us. It’s our inert nature.
Moreover, this message of Oneness of God and submitting oneself solely to the Creator has been lost accept to only two religions. Islam and Judaism. But Judaism is too confined within the Jews themselves. This makes sense because the prophets of the Jews were only sent to guide the Jewish tribes. It is only the message sent to the prophets in the Middle East that survives and the message sent to all prophets in other parts of the world has been too long to survive or too much corrupted. Thus, you make your choice. Use your own free will to think.
God is not a spirit that is wandering around on the seas like Nyai loro kiro. I’d like to ask you a question aluang, is Nyai Loro Kiro the Creator of this universe and has power over all things? If she is not, why do you worship her? Who’s the originator of the universe? Who creates time and space? You should answer these essential questions in your life before worshiping random clanish things.
Peace.
Muhammad El Malizi, this is where a believer (yourself) and a higher being (a Javanese) differs.
1st paragraph.
Believe does not make it true. Quran is a crap book just like the Bible and the rest of religious manuscripts. The author of the Quran is a miserable god, if not silly. He is not all-powerful from his many failed mission, and no doubt evil by dispensing calamities to his ‘slaves’.
2nd paragraph.
You make it sound like the Muslims’ deity is a very jealous god. One has a choice in Good and Evil. One can be a worshipper of many imaginery images and be a saint. My family has a tradition of adopting orphanaged children. 2 of my aunties were adopted by my grandparents, 3 sisters were adopted at infant age. My sister is adopting yet another child. We are muslims according to our KTP. And as Javanese, we pray to Nyai Loro Kiro and seek blessing from the sufi saints, Hindu gods, Allah and Jesus.
Adoption is an honourable institution in the nusantara, and only Allah disallowed it. According to the hadith, Allah forced prophet Muhammad’s adopted son to divorce his wife, then further forced him to have sex with her, to show muslims it is halal for a father to have sex with daughter-in-law.
Isn’t it so much easier to reveal verses saying it is halal, instead of forcing poor prophet Muhammd to demonstrate it?
3rd paragraph.
This was what you were taught. Doesn’t mean it is true? What makes Allah a crazy man’s creation is the amount of filth in the quran and hadithes.
4th paragraph.
Spare me from this craps. I am an Asian (not Middle Easterns) and I have Asian’s values and beliefs.
5th paragraph.
Ask yourself the same questions about Allah. It is laughable that an almighty god would live in a black box.
@Aluang
First of all, you failed to answer my questions about the meaning of life and how the universe came into existence. Second of all, there are serious mistakes in your writing about Islam.
Islam does allow adoption. Are you kidding me? Muhammad himself adopted a black slave as his child. He was not a racist like white Americans were 50 years ago! This was 1400 years ago. He was developing a system that could eventually dismiss slavery 1400 years ago!
Your statement is full of discrepancies. Didn’t you see in the Quran that God asks many many times that we should take care of the orphans?? And the prophet showed his mercy through adopting a black child. And yet you said it is a stupid book? By the way, it is not a book, it is a recitation.
An adopted son is always an adopted son, biologically he could never ever be your son. That is simply impossible. I hope you took biology classes before. LOL. Muhammad never married his daughter in law. Where did you get this information?? This is so absurd. Use your brain and seek knowledge from people who know about it.
Muhammad married Zaynab after Zaynab divorced Zayd. It’s simple. The marriage between her and Zayd could not last longer and she divorced him. And after that she wanted to marry the prophet and he accepted it.
Second, God obviously does not live in a black box in the middle of a desert. Are you kidding me?? He continuously says in the Quran that He is above the heavens which really makes sense. God cannot reside inside this universe because the universe is governed by laws which God created Himself. For example, the time-space theorem is what governs EVERYTHING in this universe. Thus, God cannot be a subject to time and space like we do. He cannot be experimented with time. That’s why He is everlasting! Time and space both have beginning and time started ticking the moment Big Bang happened. Time has a BEGINNING! Could you believe that? Space started to expand after the big explosion and after billions of years, it evolves into the current universe and it is STILL expanding. The question is, what was there before time and space?? Try to ponder about it. I hope you know science, because if you don’t, it’s hard to grasp what I’ve said.
My questions to you is simple. Why do we exist in this universe? What is the purpose of our existence here in this world? How the universe came into existence in the first place? Who is this Creator? Who is Nyai Loro Kidul? Is she the Creator of this universe? If not, why do you worship her? Did she create all that is in the universe? Simple questions and don’t diverge my questions by posing typical hater arguments like you just did.
Whether you like it or not, almost all Javanese now are Muslims. LOL. You are the minorities who are still worshiping Nyai Loro Kidul. I myself have Javanese blood and some of my relatives are Javanese but the ones who know the language is limited only to the previous generations. In Malaysia, the natives Nusantara such as Bugis, Sunda, Jawa or Melayu are labeled as Melayu but now it’s hard to recognize the differences among us because we all look the same.
Peace.
@ Muhammad El Malizi
First of all, you failed to answer my questions about the meaning of life and how the universe came into existence. Second of all, there are serious mistakes in your writing about Islam.
I think you are turning Japanese. Your brain ain’t functioning properly.
“Meaning of Life” and “the existence of the Universe” – does this has to come from an Arab god? You should be the one to convince me that Allah was responsible for it.
Will get back to the rest of the paragraphs later in the night. Need to go out to fill my belly.
@ Aluang
Arab God?? What Arab God?? Do you understand my English or not? The whole premise of this discussion is all about the existence of The Creator of the universe and the universality of The Creator’s message to all mankind throughout time. I was not talking about Arab, or Chinese or even Javanese God. There is not such things as Arab God or Chinese God or Javanese God. Are you being realistic here?? There is only ONE CREATOR of this universe!! Why are you mixing your ultraconservative nationalistic idea with the realization of One Supreme Being that exists in every human being??
I can speak Malay language if you’re having difficulties understanding my English. LOL. Have a good lunch though.
@ Muhammad
If it hide in a black box in Arab land, then it is an Arab god. If it makes sound like illaha illahi lailla, then it is Arabic.
Allah’s universality on toilet etiquette may be a miracle to you, but a laughing stock to higher beings like the Javanese. Humans are born with arms and legs that are free to wave and kick. Why should one take a left foot on entry into the toilet and then the right foot to exit. What is the wisdom behind this? Hahahaha ..
Javanese may be majority moslem but as master dalang, we dance with the wolves. You have alot to explain.
@ Aluang
Can’t you read my previous comments. Because obviously you didn’t. Maybe, you don’t even want to because the truth is hard to accept. I said that the idea of Arab God, or Chinese God or Indian God is so silly!! Could you imagine that The Creator of the universe is in favor of some particular nations over another or He looks like a Chinese or an Arab??? This does not make any sense and it’s stupid to say that! The whole premise of this discussion is all about the universality of the The Creator to all mankind. I don’t know, maybe your English is not good enough, or it could be my English is not good enough for you. LOL.
Regarding the toilet etiquette, I don’t know where you got that information from. I’ve never heard of it in any hadeeth of the prophet. Obviously, that one that you talked about is not in the Quran. The one that I know is we have to clean up ourselves by using water or paper after we go to toilet. This one is the one that I know. Now, you want to teach me about Islam huh? LOL.
The prophet says that hygiene is part of faith! So, the message is clear that we need to be hygienic. Is that something bad sir?? If you think that is something bad, I seriously think you need to clean up more or else there is a good chance that swine flu might spread in Indonesia. LOL.
You are literally making me laugh here. This statement is so funny.
“Javanese may be majority moslem but as master dalang, we dance with the wolves. You have alot to explain.”- Aluang
If you look in the previous comments, I have written long explanations about all my arguments. But you did not!! So, who has a lot to explain here?? Haha. One more thing, Javanese are Muslims!! That is the fact, only some minorities like you who still cling to some clanish mystical belief which does not make any sense. Now, you explain to me who is that master dalang who dances with the wolves and why in the world would that impress me?? LOL.
Assalamualaikum
Brother Muhammad El Malizi
I gave you the link to the universal Islamic toilet etiquette to see if you are a real moslem or not. Here it is again. It is from a credible Islamic site.
And guess what!! This is your response.
“Regarding the toilet etiquette, I don’t know where you got that information from. I’ve never heard of it in any hadeeth of the prophet.“
I think you are a Christian hiding behind an Islamic name. You don’t know anything about Islamic pantang lalang. You are not the first islamophobe coming to IM trying to discredit Islam. Go back to your father and god, Jesus.
Peace.
muhammad el fatih: “I am no Javanese, I am a Malay from Malaysia. “
no kidding
@ DumadiSatrio
One big give away is his/her fake moslem name ‘Muhammad El Malizi’. Malaysian muslimin has a ‘Bin’ in the middle, and muslimah a ‘Binti’.
Chances he/she is a Christian or Hindu trying to discredit Islam.
@ Muhammad El Malizi
You should use Malay name to look authentic. You are making a fool of yourself in this forum. May Allah swt bless your soul.
Better luck next time.
I myself have Javanese blood and some of my relatives are Javanese
and yet he doesnt know Nyai Loro Kidul?
I must agree with you Pak AAB, he/she is obviously a liar.
For one, If he/she had Javanese blood, I doubt he/she would refer to him/herself simply as a Malay.
He even has trouble spelling his name. First it was El Fatih, now El Malizi. He spelt Nyai Loro Kidul as ‘Nyai Kiro’. He couldn’t even be Arab. Arabs know the universal toilet rules. Chances he is another Mualaffed Bule or a Christian Islamophobe or a curry-eating Hindu.
Anyway, El Fatih or El Malizi or even El Dorado, Islam is on a triumph march around the globe, and there is nothing you can do about it.
Islam rocks.
or a Christian Islamophobe or a curry-eating Hindu.
..or a racist arsehole like AAB. The notion of ‘Islamophobia’ is a philosophically dubious construction though. A phobia is an irrational fear of something. Religions are a part of human discourse and culture however and objections to any one of them can be expressed in entirely rational terms by engaging with their presuppositions and logical inconsistencies through rigorous argument. ‘Islamophobia’ is a concept that should be rejected for its arrogance and presumption.
@ Aluang Anak Bayang and Dumadi Satrio
In Malaysia, all of us (Jawa, Sunda, Bugis, Melayu) refer ourselves as only Melayu. We don’t refer ourselves as a Jawa or Bugis anymore since the natives mixed each other for several centuries and we adopt Melayu as our race. The ones who speak Javanese are limited only to my father generation or the older generations.
By the way, the name Muhammad El Malizi is obviously not my real name. LOL. You are so funny guys. Muhammad El Malizi means “Muhammad the Malaysian” in Arabic. Hahaha!!
Muhammad El Fatih means “Muhammad the Opener”.
One more wild accusation you’ve made to me was to say that I am a Christian trying to defame Islam!! What a dimwit accusation!! I was defending Islam since the beginning of this discussion and all of a sudden you said I was trying to defame Islam?? Are you in your right mind or not??
@ diego
Islam really makes sense. Read my previous comments to learn about Islam.
Peace.
@Muhammed:
Don’t sweat it, bro. There’s a very particular sense of humor on this site you sort of have to get used to, and AAB is one of the main practitioners. The joke is typically on those who fail to recognize the game is being played.
It’s quite funny when someone who is mouthing off gets snared, but you’re quite eloquent and have a lot of intelligent things to say, so I feel like I have to warn you at this point…
@Odinius
I would’ve caught it if I had read earlier comments. LOL.
Peace.
Well, keep posting on here! Aside from the humorous fellows, there are also some serious Islamophobes, Judeophobes, Bule-ophobes, etc. on here, so the more thoughtful, measured people the better…
You’re all going to hell.
Peace.
Im an Aviophobe

Are you event raised in Java, sir? Here are your ancient forgotten words : adigang, adigung, adiguna (adiguno). Do you ever heard the words? The words are about three kind of arrogance, qualities that we must stand away from.
Javanese values did being inspired by Islam as well as by Buddhism, Hinduism and even Chinese values.
A Javanese learn English to know his enemy
A javanese should exercise harmony, instead of enemity. Even when we conduct fighting, better you win the situation without your enemy being a loser. That is called, menang tanpa ngasorake.
