Achmad wonders what is behind Indonesia’s trail of natural disasters.

Achmad Sudarsono

The CIA and FBI are behind Indonesia’s Natural Disasters

Halo All My Seksi Friend,

As I was strumming Koes Ploes songs on my Ukulele in the rice fields this evening, I found the time to reflect on the recent natural disasters that have hit Indonesia.

There have been tsunamis, earthquakes, landslides, global warming, floods, and the threat of volcanic eruptions.

I wondered, as my fingers picked out the tunes to Koes Ploes classics, why all of sudden do we face such woes? Then, as I slammed back my 10th Teh Poci and 3rd packet of Gudang Garam kreteks, I realized.

The CIA and the FBI engineered them all to prevent Indonesia’s rise to the greatness of the Mojopahit Empire.

Sure, I wouldn’t be surprised if the MI-6 and other agencies were in on the act as well. After all, none of the world’s superpowers want Indonesia to reverse engineer all the U.F.O. technology we have buried in our ancient temples and ruins. They want it for themselves.

So, friend, there is simply no other rational explanation behind phenomenon such as the 2004 tsunami or 2006 earthquake in Central Java.

Consider this:

* Who else has the technology ?

* Why did the USS Abraham Lincoln, the U.S. naval aircraft carrier, arrive in Banda Aceh in 2004 so quickly? They didn’t come to pose for foto-fotoan at tourism objects, (obyek wisata)! I am sure they sent all their engineers and demolitions experts to ensure that the work had been properly completed. The same for all the other natural disasters.

So, as I asked when Engelbert Humperdinck sold his Harley Davidson in 2005, why God, why?

Seksi Friend,

Indonesia is gradually, quietly on its way to becoming a global superpower, and in, fact, the world’s greatest cultural force. Think of it — now we have shows like “Extravaganza”, “Termehek-Mehek,” and “Suami-Suami Takut Istri” ? Why were none of these shows nominated at the Golden Globes?

Suami-Suami Takut Istri
Snubbed at the Globes

Our movies, especially of the horror variety put all of Hollywood, and even America’s Indy scene to shame? What American film could ever match recent classics such as “Pintu Terlarang,” or “Hantu Ambulans,” not to mention the “Suster Ngesot” series, possibly the zenith of Asian cinema since Akira Kurosawa.

Hollywood, as we all know, has controlled the White House since Ronald Reagan was elected. Look at all the entertainers who endorsed Barack Obama! Look at the Governor of California, Pak Arnolds Schwarzeneggers.

Of course, I am just a humble poet and many IM matters are more learned than I am. But sometimes, it is we Rakyat, ordinary people, who see things clearly. I take another drag on my 60th kretek for the day. Now I sip my final Teh Poci and look forward to my nightly Jamu as I listen to the Tokek lizards cheep-cheeping away looking at the sun set over the sawah.

Good old Assmad true to form, no real answers just waffling away in his self delusional little world, you’ve got to feel some pity for him.

  2. Oigal says:

    world weary now..laugh..

I have in fact been extremely fortunate so far and have led a varied and interesting life encompassing a number of different career paths all have which have taught me something. Although I doubt any one path could be said to define who or what I am now. Indeed, fate or chance has allowed me to meet a number of interesting engaging people (not including trolls)and see and do things that have enhanced my life.

In comparison to being a self absorbed little trolls crying out for attention and a sense of worth then fates have indeed been kind.

Oigalonomics..that’s actually not bad..might keep that..”The Oigal’s guide to debate”..laugh oh delusional one..don’t be so self tampering and self absorbed, you flatter yourself (amongst other things) I never debate you for that would infer I place the slightest value on the opinion of a sad little thing whose idea of a life experience is a latte without sugar. You remain a fairly mindless distraction albeit one that probably annoys others..kind of like picking a scab in public when one was a child.

Never the less, thanks for the boredom relief

  3. Achmad Sudarsono says:

    All –

See Oigalating (Oigal’s debating) in action. Varied career paths, yeah, good one. (Marching new recruits up and down at Puckapunyal, barking orders from behind a moustache).

But you’re right, Ogle. Was a bit of a mistake to mention your alleged “arguments” Whining and frothing at the mouth more like it.

  4. Achmad Sudarsono says:

    Warning: Change of Tone Ahead.

Oigal, following passage shows a very nice writing “voice” — maybe you could expand on it, perhaps reflecting on Indonesia for IM ? Maybe this isn’t the right forum. But If you do, I promise I won’t attack it or say anything stupid.

Yea not bad for a kid from the bush who left school at 15 hey..but then as a wise man once said Education and Knowledge are not always the same thing..then again he also said.. “a gooders edjmucations never dids me noes ‘arm..

I promise won’t say anything stupid

Didn’t anyone ever tell you the story of the scorpion and the frog..

  6. Achmad Sudarsono says:

    Ogle,

On scorpion and frog: sure. And fair enough.

    But it doesn’t matter.

And since when did formal education a good storyteller make ? How much university did Mark Twain, (dunno), Banjo Paterson (also dunno), or, say, Homer (also dunno) have ?

In fact, the lack of formal shiiite, might serve a scribe well these days.

IMHO, the paragraph above works better than the political stuff – not because I disagree (which I do), just because there’s alot of it around.

Even I can be reasonable at times. ; p

  7. Oigal says:

How much university did Mark Twain, (dunno), Banjo Paterson (also dunno),

Ah two people with admiration (Banjo was quite the lefty as well as would be most decent thinking people be in those days) Homer.. as yet had the pleasure (I re-call being told I had to read Homer therefore did not).

However, the point you make is valid. I would recommend CJ Dennis. A personal favorite and interestingly, it could be said the more educated and urbanised you are, the more impenetrable his prose becomes.

Considering the current situation, CJ had a point back in 1931..

    I venerate economists
    As very learned blokes,
But when in paradox they speak
Their meaning oft I vainly seek,
    Suspecting subtle jokes.
    They say the whole world’s down and out;
    But here’s what I can’t see:
If every land, beyond all doubt,
In all the world is up the spout –
    Then who’s the mortgagee?

Do we owe money in the moon,
    Or some celestial land?
Or have we creditors in Mars,
Or other fixed and unfixed stars,
Who hold our notes of hand?
If not, why all the fuss and fret?
    I’ve conned it o’er and o’er,
And find no clear solution yet.
If all the earth is deep in debt,
    Who IS the creditor?

    When men go into bankruptcy
The case is plain as day:
What is not in the dear wife’s name
    Grim creditors will promptly claim,
    And assets melt away.
But when a whole wide world’s in soak
    And cannot raise the tin,
    Here’s where I half suspect a joke:
When all the earth goes stoney broke,
    Who puts the bailiffs in

  9. Achmad Sudarsono says:

p.s. – that was the old Greek Homer, not Simpson. Nice translation out of the Odyssey by Fagle, but still a bit confusing without the right context. CJ more accessible. ; p

  10. Oigal says:

Don’t underestimate the Simpson Homer! More is said than some think..Although I did hear the sheila who does the voices (forget) refused to do a show bagging the scientologists..which is a bugger as it’s a front runner for the world’s nuttiest religion (for a good pisstake, you need to watch the Boston Legal episode on religion.

    A classic

  11. Burung Koel says:

though I did hear the sheila who does the voices (forget) refused to do a show bagging the scientologists..which is a bugger as it’s a front runner for the world’s nuttiest religion

Nancy Cartwright, who does the voice of Bart, refused to say the line “Utah, home of America’s second weirdest religion”. It was changed to “Utah, home of America’s most powerful weirdos.”

It worries me that I possess this information.

    Great link, too, thanks.

  12. Achmad Sudarsono says:

Only God knows why the Scientologists have such longevity. @ All — please see Southpark episode (trapped in the closet), and Wikipedia on America’s nuttiest religion. On Mormons, “Under the Banner of Heaven,” for second nuttiest religion. Still, to be fair, Christianity has its odd strains, including the more venerated versions, such as Coptic, Ethiopian, or Orthodox strains.

  13. Lanang says:

    AWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME

  14. schmerly says:

    @ Lanang..

    AWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME

Are you a halfwit or what, is that supposed to be a comment or a belch?

  15. schmerly says:

    @Lairedion

schmerly, what are your motives to participate here on IM since all is ridiculous and you don’t give a damn about other opinions?

I could ask you the same question?? considering you think your above all others.

  16. Aluang Anak Bayang says:

    @ schmerly

Put-downs and personal insults directed at Asians are typical of bules.

  17. Lairedion says:

    @schmerly

I could ask you the same question?? considering you think your above all others.

    Sigh, another bule dodging questions….

  18. schmerly says:

    @ AAB..

Put-downs and personal insults directed at Asians are typical of bules.

Just like you do to your own people yea, if their not Javanese?

  19. Achmad Sudarsono says:

    Pak/Ibu Schmerly Yth.,

Here at IM, we are committed to helping you improve, as a writer and as a person. I include my tips:

    * Respect your seniors.

It is unlikely you are Javanese, with your impertinent comments. It is better if you take on a humble attitude towards Bpk. AAB. I don’t know where you’re from, but it is unlikely your civilization’s values can match those of the Javanese. I look at the Bule’s accomplishments since the renaissance, and just smile. They could never match those of Mojopahit.

    * Be more open minded.

Seksi Friend, we are not alone in the universe. The temples of Java are testament to our connections to extra-terrestrial life forms. Just accept it, listen, and learn.

    * Study the Pancasila.

    Self explanatory.

  20. Lairedion says:

Again, schmerly what are your motives to participate here? What’s the point of discussing here on threads when all is ridiculous and you don’t give a damn about other opinions?

Until now we have yet to see any comments from you with the slightest knowledge of or genuine interest in Indonesia. Just noise, name-calling, swearing etc.

considering you think your above all others.

If you think that’s the case I’m cool with that. 🙂

  21. Achmad Sudarsono says:

    Seksi Bpk Lairedy Yth.,

Alot of abductees display such traits – not understanding the Wisdom of the Pancasila. They come round in the end.

  22. Aluang Anak Bayang says:

    Mas Achmad,

During my stay in bule land, my next door neighbour and their children addressed me and my wife by our name example “Good morning, Mr. and Mrs. Bayang.” In Java, we greet each other as ‘brother’ and ‘sister’. Good manner don’t exist in bule land. Perhap it was the reason Pak/Ibu Schmerly read the Pancasila but can’t see the beauty in it.

  23. Achmad Sudarsono says:

    Bpk. AAB Yth,

    Saudara,

I would recommend gently, but firmly instructing them in our ways. Politely explain that they will soon have to accept dominion status. It would be better to learn from a gentleman such as yourself, rather than the preman we will be sending to patrol many of these countries (especially if you are in Australia).

    Achmad.

  24. schmerly says:

@ AAB.. Sorry I don’t need a monyet to teach me anything, just wallow in your own ignorance.

@ Lairedion.. Like I said before your obviously biased so what’s the point of answering you? try reading my posts and you’ll see I don’t suffer fools gladly.

  25. Lairedion says:

    schmerly:

Like I said before your obviously biased

Where did you say that? And in what? I don’t represent anybody but myself…

try reading my posts and you’ll see I don’t suffer fools gladly.

I did. As I said before: noise, name-calling, swearing, nothing useful or of any added value in particular… a bule version of dragonwall so to speak…

  26. schmerly says:

    @ Lairedion..

nothing useful or of any added value in particular

I could say the same about you in that respect, also where is this swearing your on about? and name calling what a shame, people call me names as well, but that doesn’t bother me, look if you don’t like my posts I’m afraid your just going to have to suck it up OK! and stop being such a moocher.

  27. Achmad Sudarsono says:

    Halo Bpk/Ibu Schmerlys Yth.,

    Friend,

I call upon you in the name of Pancasila to return to the original theme of the discussion: the role of the CIA and FBI in Indonesia’s woes.

    Friend,

Seksi Mr. Lairedions sort-of requested we drop the disaster references, which is fine. But I think, Friend, that there is no doubt the CIA, FBI and the Bule man wants to stop the second rise of the Mojopahit Empire. Back then, we were the seksiest. In many ways, we still are.

I think you’d have to agree.

    Ok Friend ?

  28. schmerly says:

You know what I think about you childish theories, so I’m not going to repeat myself, just take my advice, stay in your kampung playing your Ukulele and reciting poetry to the local kids, as their the only people your ever going to impress.

  29. Achmad Sudarsono says:

    Bpk/Ibu Schmerly Yth.,

Honestly, just saying this as a friend, it’s much, much better if you take on a respectful attitude to the paragons of Javanese learning, such as myself.

    Seksi Friend,

Such an attitude will help dissolve your Western arrogance and open your mind, however small, to the great insights of the Babad Tanah Jawi and other tomes.

    Seksi Friend,

If you choose to believe we are alone in the Universe. So be it. You bules believe all sorts of odd things, but when it comes to discourse with scholars such as myself and AAB, better for you if you show the correct and appropriate etiquette.

    Drs. Achmad Sudarsono.

Poet, Ukulele Player, Pencak Silat Master, Cabaret Singer.

  30. Aluang Anak Bayang says:

    Mas/Mbak Schmerly,

If Pancasila fails to open your eyes, may our Javanese philosophy enlighten your heart.
