Trousers off for Women

The wearing of trousers, jeans, or any tight clothing becomes illegal for women in West Aceh.
West Aceh (Aceh Barat) regency in the province of Aceh in trailblazing fashion has become the first administrative area to ban Muslim women from wearing any type of tight clothing, specifically jeans/pants/trousers.
Criminal
While in other parts of Aceh, where Islamic sharia law is fitfully and gradually being introduced, women are only required to at least cover their head hair and not to flaunt their womanly shapes, West Aceh has seized the day in specifically banning jeans.
Caught
Roadblocks and patrols will be carried out, with the local government preparing 20,000 long flowing skirts to be distributed to women caught in violation of the law. Offenders will be required to change into the skirts on the spot, with their jeans being confiscated.
Offenders will also have their names taken down, and on their third offence will be taken into detention.
Under the new law, coming into force on 26th May 2010, shops and traders will also be forbidden from selling women’s jeans and trousers.
Regent Ramli Mansyur admits the regulation is controversial, but that it is a necessary part of the application of Islamic law.
As a leader I have to implement this law because in the hereafter I will be held responsible for my actions on Earth, and I will be held responsible by society.

Anyway, the discussion about pedophilia and homosexuality is actually getting interesting. I try to simplify this by dividing people with different sexual orientations into four groups (not entirely mutually exclusive):
(1) Normal Heterosexual
(2) Pedophile Heterosexual
(3) Normal Homosexual (I am not sure about the term “normal” but, yeah…)
(4) Pedophile HomosexualWe can start to worry about homosexuality if there is statistics that prove:
– The ratio of (4) to (3) is higher than the ratio of (2) to (1)
– The percentage of child molestations by (4) is higher than child molestations by (2)
– The growth of (3) + (4) is higher than the growth of (1) + (2). Although in certain cases it can be a good sign to inhibit overpopulation. -
and another thing, one of the best places to go and dance in my city rotterdam when i still lived there was a place called gay palace, used to go there often with the bar girls after work in the cafe. the girls loved to go there ’cause there they could party undisturbed unlike most other places where dickheads would come up to them all the time, not even introducing themselves but immediately sticking their tongues into mouths or groping…

His own views on communism and immigration may be wise or foolish, but they are no more germane to the thread we are on than are mine. Similarly, he appears to be obsessively hostile to monarchy – up to him, but what has that to do with a debate on queers.
He yaps like a naughty puppy when I present him with several pages of material that he doesn’t like. At the same time, when asked repeatedly to say whether his evidently libertarian philosophy includes the right to incest, he baulks and dodges and twists and turns, anything rather than answer a simple quesion.
It is also a highly apposite question, for the reason I mentioned, that in Canada, once the dam was broken and traditional marriage replaced, the entire moral relativist crew began to press for polygamy, and in at least one country -I think it’s Holland – multiple marriage has been approved. (tho I’m open to correction if I’m wrong – I’ve yet to hear Oigal say that! He is not at his best in ‘attack-dog’ mode, and should see that it is unconvincing)
It is also a fact that many of the pro-queer campaigning groups have shown signs of advocating child-sex. To me that is disgusting. I know disgust is politically incorrect but there are a lot of us who can still see nothing wrong in expressing it when confronted with certain types of evil.
As Deta says above, we need to know if there is a greater risk of pedophilia when queers are involved with children. The figures in the info I posted suggest there is, and they have not been refuted. It is irresponsible to ignore them and downright silly for people like timdog to engage in sixth-form debating society sophistries which are only designed to insult opponents rather than advance discussion.
It is just stupid, as well as rude, to say that because I like women over 28, as I said, I thus have something in common with a monster who likes under-age girls. I clearly don’t.apology would not go amiss, timdog, and a straight answer from Oigal on incest.
If you two guys can clean up your act, I am happy to continue the argument, but if you only want to be personally obnoxious, what’s the point?

Well, I’ll say this for you timdog, you have more staying power than Oigal, who could as easily have typed yes or no to the simple question he has been dodging for days. Instead he types ‘yawn’ and hides his views on the issue. Makes you think.
I am not dodging any issue. I am inclined to yawn myself, because it has only been dragging along due to Oigal’s shyness on his views on incest.
Nor do I issue open-ended apologies to an amorphous group of people. What I said was that a higher proportion of pedophiles appear to be male queers. This means that some, but not all, queers are a danger. If the percentage is disproportionate, then it is a worry.
To whom then should I proffer this putative apology?

Forgetting for a moment the fact that Odinius has already posted material to challenge that assertion, I’ll point out that this, as far as I can make out, rests on the assumption that proportional to the ratio of homosexuals to heterosexuals in society, more boys suffer sexual abuse than girls.
This idea, as I said before, in itself relies entirely on the acceptance of the idea that there is a link between adult homosexuality and pedophilia targetting boys in the first place. To repeat again – this then, is “evidence” to “prove” an assertion that relies an initial acceptance of said assertion to have any meaning at all. And given that the people you are trying to convince don’t accept that assertion, then your evidence is worse than useless. Quite simple.
And one final time, disregarding the idea of everyone who engages in anything other than vanilla sex with an over-28-year-old non-communist of the opposite sex as being some kind of devient, surely you must be able to concede that saying “homosexual” (in the general sense) in the same breath as “boy-targetting pedophile” is every bit as offensive as saying “over-28-admiring heterosexual” in the same breath as “man who fiddles with little girls”…

I myself can’t imagine someone – whoever he/she might be and whatever temptations might be invoked – ever to be able to change my sexual preference. On the contrary it might be a good thing to draw the youth’s attention to a phenomenon from all times that isn’t even human-specific and, instead of culpabilising and ostracising those who belong to this group, teach the youth to accept these people as members of society but with a different natural disposition. What the youth should be taught is that any form of sexual harrassment or coercion, be it of a heterosexual, homosexual or pedophilic nature, is to be haram and strictly prohibited. But if there are compelling indications that members of certain groups – whatever these are – prove to be more susceptible to such abusive behaviour, they should be closely monitored and eventually discouraged by any means to come into contact with possible victims.
In short, it is useless to try to eradicate homosexuality, be it by law, social coercion or psychological treatment. Maybe one day DBS (deep brain surgery) could provide a solution, but this is a very slippery slope…
