Signs That Your Son is Gay

Aug 29th, 2008, in News, by

Ahmad Dhani’s theories on how rock music can prevent your son becoming gay.

Rock musician Ahmad Dhani, or Dhani Ahmad, ex-husband of Maia, recently said that he was very concerned that his sons would one day become gay, particularly with the mass murderer Ryan case still on his mind, and because in Jakarta these days there were a lot of gays around, and:

Being gay is like being a drug user.

From when his boys were very young Dhani said he had tried to ensure that they heard lots of rock music, because real men like rock music. One of the early warning signs of homosexuality in children was:

If your young son doesn’t like rock music you have to be on your guard, because gays don’t like rock music.

There might be other methods:

Parents have to find ways to prevent their children becoming gay.

Dhani and one of his sons.

If children did eventually become homosexual then their father was to blame: inilah

It’s the fault of the father for not inculcating in the boy the right spirit.

so true janma…..Even the poorest Aussie has an internet connection. I mean out of a dole cheque of say $1,200 a month everyone can afford the $20 a month internet bill.
I myself have a 12 GB connection. More than enough most users.

In Indonesia, however, it costs about the same but the average Joe is trying to feed a family on less than 800,000 rp a month. Not likely that family will opt for internet connection. Sinetron then becomes their entertainment of choice. Of course Purba though comes from a well heeled Javanese family in the loop living in Pondok Indah so would have no idea what his countrymen have to live like. He can happily slap away on the keyboard while underpaying his drivers, office boys, pembantus etc.

Which got me thinking how gay Australia really is- and results of a brief google search.
    http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=australia+%2Bgay&btnG=Search&meta=
    38,800,000 results.

    only 8,000,00 for Indonesia +gay.

By these rough numbers alone, Australia is 5 x more camp , yet a population less than 10% of Indonesia
Thus we may deduce, Australia is then 25% gay (5% being the Kinsey LOW average gay population number).

    Let me add this:

    25% Australian Males are gay.

‘Australian Males’ is a generic reference. Majority of gays are descendants of British Anglo-Celts which makes up just over 50% of Ostrayan.

Thus, we can safely deduce 50% of Australian White Anglo-Celt are gays.

  3. My gay friend said he knows he’s gay since he’s six. You can’t prevent people from being gay. It’s like trying to change your eye colour. Duh.

  4. Purba Negoro says:

    Yes- this is Australian maths.

They are well known for their poor basic literacy- yet score high marks in subjects like cultural awareness, how to be a better bed-wetter and multi-culturalist masturbation.

Thus it skews their national results for literacy.

AAB- nggeh Pak. Dalem asal Jogja.
So glad you took up my correct and phoentic Osstraya.

Hopefully miyons (millions) of Ostrayans will follow suit.
    Look at moy…
    And similar “Indoh-neeyesziaaaa moyte”.

When I went to London last year, I could not talk to a single Brit without them mentioning how much they also hate their Aussie infestation.
Apparently bar work is the only job they can manage as the common perception is “they’re bred for it- it’s instinct.”

Wembley, is synonymous with Ostrayan churlish yobbery where condemned semi-detacheds are rented to Ostrayans living ten to a room.
Convict habits apparently die very hard.

Another gay rocker- Osytrayan- that carpenter Shirl-
“Horror movie right there on my tv..”

A youtube search will dig up plenty more cross-dressing cock-rocking Ostrayans.

@ Finally Woken – did it ever occur to you that the vast majority of children (if not 100%) have absolutely no clue at age 6 what the meaning of sexual orientation is never mind the realization of it? Sorry to say it sounds like your friend was most likely abused at that age and that abuse let him to choose his homosexuality. Now go back 2 sleep please! ha ha ha sorry could not resist!

  6. Purba Negoro says:

I would argue that pre-esxisting mental illness or previous sexual abuse would be much higher among homosexuals than the normal population.

I know of one gay friend of my son- who I know for a fact mother was very strict with corporal punishment for him and sister.
His sister is very much a slut and he is as gay as a Bondi beach lifeguard.

Is it causative or merely a contributing factor- how to possibly answer without the emotive hand-wringing of the Western academia?

No matter what theory is put forward some vested interest group will negate it. I very much doubt we can ever have a universally accepted “cause” of gayness.

but we should really question the bullsh*t the West propagates about it being “normal” or common”. It is not at all common nor even without controversy in the wild.

Chimps regularly punish insubordinate males via some Greek loving. This is display of dominance and authority.
The victim has been effectively emasculated.
Because hetero prison cellmates enjoy uphill gardening, are they then gay- or is it about power, dominance, or even boredom?

My female dog mounts my female cat regularly. Is she lesbian? No- she is exhibiting her dominance over kitty. She gets jealous of kitty getting attention.
But my cat is stupid, it just lie there continue drooling as if nothing at all is happening, or sometimes get cranky if dog humps her head.

    Gee, why stop at 50%…

We Australians have all been gay since the First Fleet. All births are caused by tourists.

Now there’s a theory. Complete bullsh*t but solid enough for ranting dipsomaniac nutters like Aluang and Purba to believe.

  8. Purba Negoro says:

    Perseus,
the problem with the perception of bules being sex fiends and ginger beers is that a lot of disgusting mentally ill whites go looking for children to molest.

Recently I remember reading somehting from Australian Federal Police detailing hey had broken an international sophisticated child pedo ring- where numerous very specific locations were well-known and rated- Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand all included.

Then we have the pot-bellied losers who’ll flash a wad of Rupiah, purposely looking to attract the wrong kind of women/man//in between.

But if you watch any Aussie TV- there’s an awful lot of gay entrendre, homo-erotic imagery, cross-dressing and male-male bottom caressing.

But wo can blame you- I’ve seen the Asussie land-dugong on her native soil. I’d go for the Cadbury Lane stroll anyday rather than her musty, unkempt cavenous canal.

  9. janma says:

But if you watch any Aussie TV- there’s an awful lot of gay entrendre, homo-erotic imagery, cross-dressing and male-male bottom caressing.

whereas Indonesia never shows gayness, cross dressing, or male male touching on tv……

  10. Purba Negoro says:

The difference is we stay straight-
the bencong/banci on TV are patently so

no male “bondage” activities in male shower rooms like Aussies

We do not have “squirel-gripping” or John
Hopoate type behaviour of epenbtrative anal probing during sports.

Australia is a very sick society. Maybe because it is closeted gay.

  11. Parvita says:

Ahmad Dhani is a guy who needs to be heard all the time…when he is not talked about, he begins to worry and makes a news out of himself. I don’t think he believes in it as he is a big fan of Queen.

What a bolloks, rock music has nothing to do with homosexuality.

Add one more: Melissa Etheridge. Great lesbian rock singer, for your girls.

Hadn’t noticed myself, actually. Most Aussie TV is soap opera (crap), reality TV (crap), current affairs (crap) and sports, sports and more sports (zzz) and piles of imported stuff (crap) from the US and elsewhere.

Almost nothing from Indonesia – (too crap to be crap?)

Besides Dame Edna and Priscilla, I am struggling to think of any current or past Australian TV that fits your description apart from the annual Mardi Gras Parade.

Yes, Australia has gays. They have rights. They are really not scary and Australia is not collapsing because gays do not need to spend their lives in closets hiding from rednecks and bigots…

Australia is doing very nicely thank you.

Most Australians are boringly normal. Sorry to disappoint you…

  15. Purba Negoro says:

Who knows what happens behind closed doors.

I remember reading Tasmania only took sodomy off the books as a crime fairly recently.
And yes- Indo TV is worse than rubbish.

Persues- no one said gays are scary.
They have long been part of our society- they have existed even in the Hindu court system.
In fact the best traditional make-up artists, dancers, designers etc for traditional Javanese weddings are gay, gay and more gay.
Not only are they well loved by the women for their flamboyant and hilarious jokess- they pose no threat to sex with bride- and not get aroused by naked lady.

Sukarno Putera? Ultra gay. Uzbekistani marriage? Sham.
Sebastian Gunawan- so gay, he makes Julian Clary look manly.

Actually- one of my office manager is very gay- and he is an excellent worker. My wife gave him one of her hand-bag- he loves it- wears it everyday.
Every employer prefer to hire a gay rather than a woman- hard worker, perfectionist, professional, no maternity leave, no period- lots of funny jokes.
My wife’s best friend- a woman- has a gay brother aged 43 years old and Muslim. With a live-in male partner- he is Korean.
The gay life cause him many problem of conscience- his father find very difficult to reconcile- but still his father love him. The family still close.

When my son at Monash uni- one of his good friends was gay a Chinese boy- Brandon- a very polite intelligent young man. He had to live on the street as his father beat him and expel him from the house. Father completely ashamed- cannot ever return to family. Everyone in family disown him.
So my friend- also sending son to study at Monash- and I help Brandon by paying all his Australian Resident fees tuition- so at least can finish his studies. Such a very nice man- such a sad life- I would have a very, very heavy conscience if we did not help to save such a good person from a bad life- and Allah above would indeed judge me very poorly accordingly.

SO no- we are not AFRAID of gays- we simply find their male-male sex practices disgusting. And it is against their religion- either Christian or Islam. But there are much worse sins. They may find our hetero sex disgusting- but that’s life.

Female penetrative anal sex is not truly taboo inside marriage- and is excellent and proscribed even by our Javenese Kama sutra- “Asmaragama”

If you ask married Muslim women if she enjoy sodomy and she lies- her husband either doing it wrong or she is a liar.

Also- you will note- Indonesia and muslim nations do not have the scourge of gay bashing- unlike the West.
We tolerate them- yes they are outsiders but only to a point- but we do not beat or kill them.
They are not discriminated against in employment- and actually favoured (less costly and much better worker than woman- also strong so can perform more task without complaining).
Gay man is very good worker- just sometimes too much emotion.

  16. Geordie says:

Also- you will note- Indonesia and muslim nations do not have the scourge of gay bashing- unlike the West.

Not quite true PN, I think you have a good point in terms of Indonesia but the likes of Iran and Egypt are highly discriminatory both in terms of rhetoric and practice.

This, of course, does not off-set the behaviour of louts in the west who will pick on someone because of their sexual oreintation but it is a little sweeeping to suggest that it only occurs in the west.

  17. Purba Negoro says:

Yes- sadly it does indeed exist.

Unfortunately morons are born outside of America- so difficult to contain on one island.

Am I to assume you are from Newcastle or “Geordie” Mr Geordie like the famous tea-totaller Gazza Gascoigne?

And yet another prime example that Indonesians continue to lack any recognizable form of “common sense” or “class”

Although being Indonesian myself, I agree with you. Though there are exceptions (a very small minority), Indonesia overpopulated with people like “Aluang Anak Bayang” and Dani who have a skewed and distorted perception of reality, and as you mentioned, lack any form of common sense and class. Maybe its the food they eat…

I love my country… but hate my people

  21. Aluang Anak Bayang says:

    @ Ish

You reminded me of some Sabahan Chinese friends in Perth late 80s. As we stepped out of a Chinese restaurant in Northbridge, some punk drove pass, charged aloud, “Go back to your country, slit eyes.” Clearly and unmistakably, they refer to Chinamen. Instead of anger directed at the racist ockers, the Sabahan group tried to convince us Indonesians that the offensive remarks were intended for Vietnamese. “Viets rob, rape, stink and they are sub-Asian. Whiteys hate Viets, not Chinese. Because of Viets, Whiteys now hate all Asians.” Gee .. what an explanation.

… Indonesia overpopulated with people like “Aluang Anak Bayang” and Dani who have a skewed and distorted perception of reality, and as you mentioned, lack any form of common sense and class. Maybe its the food they eat…

An anti-Chinese Whitey is usually anti-Asian. You are the one with biased hairy eyeballs and living in denial. Yes, Indonesian is populated with Javanese who think like me. We know who our enemy is – the Brown-noser.

I love my country… but hate my people

Why would you hate your Indonesian where you can make millions. Of course you hate the locals. We Pribumis knew that.

  22. Purba Negoro says:

Ish- hate my people, love my country- that makes 235 million of us- join the club.

  23. Ish says:

Hate is such a strong word.. I take it back.

Im disillusioned by the fact that Indonesia, despite the richness of its culture, its diverse bounties; flora and fauna, natural AND human resources (on its numbers as opposed to quality apparently) is such a poor and underdeveloped country and lagging in growth comparing to its other Asian neighbors, such as China, Malaysia,Singapore, South-Korea, even INDIA Correct me if I’m wrong on this.

With such bounty and being the 4th most populous country (last time I checked) we have SO MUCH potential, yet we fail to realize that. WHY? because the failings and mismanagement of its leaders, and the fact that the populations have allowed that to happen. My perception is that most Indonesians are hypocritical, they focus too much on rhetorics as opposed to actions/ pragmatism, superficial, lazy and as previously mentioned, have a skewed perspective on reality and lack common sense… I could go on and on.. We should stop blaming other people, other states,Chinese, Bule etc and introspect. Maybe.. just maybe, the problem lies on us.

Im sure there are exceptions; hardworking, honest, resourceful and productive Indonesians, but they’re mostly drowned out by the stupid, the corrupt, etc. Perhaps the proportions of Idiots are higher in Indonesia. I don’t know …

Despite living overseas, despite so many of my Indonesian peers, who have grown up here like me, most having relinquished their Indonesian Citizenship (I haven’t), and naturalizing with the local culture, Considers themselves Australian (there are many) I, on the other hand still have deep love for my country and I am optimistic of the future.

  24. Andy says:

ish, you took the words right out of my mouth….very good point! Glad to hear it coming from the mouth (or keyboard) of an Indonesian national. At least noone can accuse you of racism or putting down the country unmercilessly. Keep up the goood work mate..

  25. Rob says:

    PN…

Didn’t know you were a Manly fan and a fan of John Hopoate? It is nice to know that the Javanese are supporters of Rugby League.

  26. migs says:

This is the funniest article I’ve ever read. What does not listening to rock music has to do with becoming gay? I don’t listen to rock music that much (except if it is punk or has a good beat on it) but I don’t have romantic feelings for my own biological kind. Ahmad Dhani is stupid.

  27. Barry Prima says:

Can’t believe I missed this thread. Hilarious. I’d love to read what he actually said in Bahasa, surely it wouldn’t sound as stupid?.

Being gay is like being a drug user.

Being a rocker is synonymous with being a drug user so I suppose you end up with the same bad result. I watched this the other day, although a bit sensationalist, pretty accurate.

If you’re young son doesn’t like rock music you have to be on your guard, because gays don’t like rock music.

Isn’t rock and roll a Zionist Jewish Invention and the devil’s music, also isn’t it slang for free sex? Are you sure you want to be encouraging this Dhani?
However there is a point somewhere in there that I actually agree with. The number of real rockers who are actually gay is very very low, Michael Stipe, Morissey are not real rockers, I suppose Rob Halford and Freddie are the only real ones.

    The lead singer of Manowar

Nah Ross the boss is not gay, no way.

What about glam rock like Twisted Sister?

Dee Snider is definitely not gay, a very ugly Cross dresser he was though.

I’m pretty sure Townsend has expressed interest in the forbidden pathways, the road less travelled, if you like.

Yeah heard the gay boys tried to get him on their side too, but he wasn’t serious, he was also a Sufi for a while too, wasn’t very serious about that either.

Melissa Etheridge. Great lesbian rock singer, for your girls.

Nah Lesbian rockers don’t count, they only prove Mr Dhani’s theory that Rock Music = Manly! In the underground punk rock scene there are few women, but quite high percentage are dykes.

Not quite true PN, I think you have a good point in terms of Indonesia but the likes of Iran and Egypt are highly discriminatory both in terms of rhetoric and practice.

Dude, homosexuality in Arab nations and places like Afghanistan and Pakistan, hugely fundamentalist and chauvinistic is almost accepted as a norm for men of certain age. Even in Malaysia, it’s a lot more open than in the west. I used to get hit on so many times in those countries by blokes it was funny, but in Indo hardly ever, apart from Banci playfulness. People in Islamic countries, just don’t bring it into the mainstream, so it becomes a lifestyle choice and starts influencing mainstream society. I think that’s the right approach.

Tomaculum :Think one step further, why these people develop such problems?

Good point. The fact heterosexuals and homophobic overlook is that Homosexuals are created by Straight people, they should focus on themselves rather than blaming people for being gay! I do agree with Dahni that Parents have to find ways to prevent their children becoming gay ,but rock music isn’t going to do it. Maintaining harmony and right balance between the parents and providing good models of real dignified men and women is what’s required.

Perseus:Thanks for the advice. I prefer Buddha and Lao Tzu quotes myself.

Buddhist scripture is completely opposed to homosexuality and as for Lao Tzu, basic ying yang theory would tell you, that homosexuality is against Taoist principles and very counterproductive to the world. Here’s a quote from the i Ching for you:
¬When yin becomes yang, or vice versa it becomes evil!¬

  28. tukiman says:

How come he said as he tough as he never be a gay, or maybe the opposite, he was gay, but tried to keep it, and doesn’t want his kids to be like him..
i don’t think gay is like drug or sin, as in my though gay is same with normal people..
realize or no, in this world we have 6 kinds of person such man, woman, sissy, tomboy, gay, and lesbian.. because like or dislike they live around us.. but the important thing is sex doesn’t influence someone to be bad people.. but the characteristic, family background, environment, and many more.. so don’t ever blame sex to be the cause someone do bad thing.. as u know that the murder, robber, or etc are included man, and woman, not only gay, lesbian or something else..
we have sin as human, and we have to accept it, but do not hide it, just fix it..

  29. zekky says:

This is just beyond hilarious. 10 points to the guy who pointed out Mick Jagger and Freddie Mercury!

For my entertainment, I wish Ahmad Dhani had added what he believes gay men usually listen to.
